The article is a qualitative study providing an overview of the initial facilitation of digital services for inmates with the aim of enhancing their reintegration into society. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with both officials and inmates to gather data. The research aimed to gain better insights into what inmates and officials need for the improved implementation of digital services. The results indicated that both officials and inmates recognize the necessity of adopting digital solutions, but there is a greater apprehension among older and more experienced officials, as well as among older inmates. Additionally, there was a consensus that implementing such changes should first undergo experimentation before making digital solutions universally available.
