The present paper is presented as the final thesis for the 2018-19 iteration of the European Joint Master’sin Strategic Border Management. The main research question is “How do Border Guards of the host MS perceive the Frontex' Joint Operations (JOs) and what is the relationship, if any, between such perceptions and the effectiveness of JOs?”The purpose of this research is twofold: 1) to assess how Border Guards (BG) of the three host Member States perceive the collaboration of the Agency; 2) to explore whether an “improved perception” of the collaboration, can lead to higher job satisfaction and, eventually, to more effective JOs.et_EE
